South England Council - EV Hire and Charge Cards

Drive to Zero and EV charge cards

Northgate helps southern council on their Drive to Zero with Flexible Hire and EV charge cards.

CHALLENGES

Our customer based in the South of England has been a Northgate Vehicle Hire customer for over 5 years with a number of ICE vehicles on hire. One of the council’s main initiatives is to operate a cleaner and greener fleet.

The council’s main concern in implementing the switch to electrification, was that their premises has limited capacity to facilitate the charge points required for EVs.

50,000

Access to a fleet of 50,000
vehicles from manufacturers
when they need it.

SOLUTION

Having ascertained that they were suitable to make the switch, the council added 10 Peugeot e-Expert electric vehicles to their fleet. Due to the low mileage regularly driven by the vehicles, the customer was advised that, with the Allstar One Electric card, their drivers would only need to visit a public charging point once a week. This would ensure that, from one full charge, the vehicles would be able to operate efficiently within the 250 miles undertaken.

BENEFITS

A range of flexible hire options available to suit your business needs
Full service and maintenance included
One charge card and one account eliminating the hassle of managing numerous arrangements for multiple fuel types
Access to over 4,000 public chargers in the UK with the Allstar One Electric card

“We have been impressed by the service we receive from Northgate and are pleased to develop our working relationship further, achieving a cleaner, greener fleet much quicker than we anticipated. We are looking forward to seeing what other Northgate products we can add to our operations, to help us maintain operational and environmental efficiencies."
